Founded by Henry J. Lee, Sr. in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1961, Lee Distributors joined Reyes Beer Division in 2006, bringing Reyes Holdings full circle to the marketplace in which it began doing business.

Lee Distributors sells and distributes nearly 5 million cases of some of the world's best-known and loved brews along with a number of great craft beers to nearly 2,000 accounts along the Southeast coast of South Carolina and the seven surrounding counties.

The company operates from two warehouses, one in Charleston, South Carolina, and a branch facility in Beaufort, South Carolina.

Reyes Holdings Facts

Lee Distributors began as a Schlitz beer distributorship called Pilot Beer Wholesalers where Henry J. Lee Sr. started in the business 1953 and purchased the company in 1961.

 

In 1963 Pilot Beer Wholesalers was renamed Henry J. Lee Distributing. In 2001 under Denis J Lee, the company changed its name to Lee Distributors.

 

Tourism is the number one industry in Lee's marketplace, with popular destinations such as Charleston and Hilton Head.
