Magnificent Mile Marriott Pairs Local Half Acre Beer With Local Fare
Chicago, IL – On Wednesday, July 15, 2009, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel will be partnering with local Chicago brewer, Half Acre Beer Co, for a tasty night of brews and barbecue.
The event will consist of three Half Acre beers paired with the Chef's house-made barbecue and will cost an admission of $10 per wristband. Guests will be able to tastefully travel through the many regions of the country famous for their barbecue, without ever leaving the Chicago luxury hotel's lobby.
The cuisine for the night will include famous American styles of barbecue all made fresh at the hotel but representing barbecue styles from Texas, the Carolinas, Memphis and Tennessee. Three Half Acre beers will be featured including Half Acre Lager and Daisy Cutter Pale Ale.
Half Acre Beer Co. provides handcrafted beer that pairs well with robust lives. The community based brewing company is located in the North center neighborhood of Chicago. They recently built a new Chicago brewery and are working on an adjacent store where visitors can tour and purchase their local creations.
