REINHART FOODSERVICE ACQUIRES IJ COMPANY
ROSEMONT, IL, October 27, 2008 – Reyes Holdings, L.L.C. announced today that Reinhart FoodService, L.L.C. (RFS), an independent food distributor in its group of family-owned businesses, has acquired Institutional Jobbers Company (IJ Company) and its subsidiaries based in Knoxville, Tennessee.
IJ Company was founded by Tillman J. Keller Sr. in 1946 and initially delivered food products to the fraternities and sororities of the University of Tennessee. Today IJ Company is a fully integrated supplier ranked among the top ten largest foodservice distributors in the United States providing over 12,000 food service items across seventeen Southeast states. The company services thousands of multi-unit and independent restaurants including Sonic, Subway and Atlanta Bread Company from four distribution centers in Knoxville and Johnson City, Tennessee and Valdosta and Atlanta, Georgia.

Effective immediately, IJ Company will operate as a division of Reinhart FoodService. IJ President, Mike Devoto, will continue to be responsible for the division’s operations reporting to Boyd Jordan, President of Reinhart FoodService.
