As part of our Reyes Cares: Fuel & Emissions program, enterprise teams have been working to reduce idling time and increase fuel efficiency across all locations. We are proud to announce that the Reyes Beer Division (Golden Brands) – Redding facility showed the best performance in Q1 of 2022 with just:
Since January 1, 2022 the Redding team has driven around 60,000 miles and of its 10,000+ gallons of fuel usage - only 1.8% of its fuel usage was used for idling. The conservation of fuel translates to carbon emissions avoided, and we couldn’t be more proud of the team and excited to watch all facilities continue to improve!
Since launching the program in October 2021, the Reyes Family of Businesses as a whole has used 34,000 fewer gallons of fuel than the previous year. This is equivalent to 456,000 kg of carbon emissions or the emissions of a standard gas vehicle driving 1.13+ million miles.
