Facility Spotlight – RBG San Diego, CA

In April 2023, Reyes Beverage Group moved their Crest Beverage operations into a new 350,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, California. The new facility was a massive upgrade for the local team, providing a modern and beautiful environment with sweeping views of the city, enhanced functionality and improved sustainability practices.

It is the hub from which 400 employees work together to deliver more than 16 million cases of product to 5,000 local customers each year - if you happen to enjoy a cold beer in the San Diego sunshine, more likely than not it came off the back of a Crest truck.

In line with our Reyes Cares promise, this beautiful new facility was built with a focus on sustainability. The rooftop solar panel system features 250kW battery storage plus a 720kW system installed on carports. The building also minimizes energy use by utilizing daylighting throughout and focusing on energy reduction strategies in the keg cooler and warehouse. During construction, the waste diversion rate was over 99% and the original brick facade was re-used on two ornamental walls (shown above). 

EV chargers are also provided on-site for employee use and the location is closer to approximately ~70% of the workforce, minimizing fuel use during commutes.

Crest Beverage is unique in many ways to the Reyes Family of Businesses. In a nod to the future acquisition of our Coca-Cola business – the previous Crest building was originally erected in 1964 as a Coca-Cola Bottling facility.
