Facility Spotlight: Premium Distributors of Washington, D.C.

Premium Distributors of Washington, D.C. celebrates its 30th anniversary with Reyes Beverage Group (RBG) this July. Since joining RBG in 1996, the company has served the Northeast D.C. region, providing elite service to our supplier and retail partners and distributing top brands such as Modelo, Athletic Run Wild, and Heineken, establishing itself as their trusted distributor of choice. Over the past decade, Premium Distributors of Washington, D.C. has earned nearly 10 workplace awards, reflecting a culture that supports both operational excellence and employee well-being. 

The facility spans more than 149,170 square feet and has a team of nearly 100 team members. It distributes over 2.3 million cases annually and manages an inventory of more than 1,215 SKUs. A fleet of 25 trucks supports daily delivery routes, enabling consistent coverage throughout the city and surrounding areas while serving more than 1,700 customers. 

Each day, operations begin with inbound deliveries moving through receiving and into structured storage locations. The warehouse team manages inventory, selects orders and stages product for outbound routes.

This site also serves as a pilot for a new, system-driven direct putaway process that uses data to determine the most efficient storage location for incoming SKUs. This approach reduces unnecessary handling, supports product rotation and improves inventory accuracy across the warehouse. 

RBG is also committed to creating a sustainable future and incorporates sustainable and green practices into all of its operations. At Premium Distributors of Washington, D.C., a roof-mounted solar panel system, operational since 2023, has generated nearly 800,000 kWh of energy in 2025. This reduces reliance on external energy sources and supports overall efficiency, reinforcing RBG's commitment to operational excellence and environmental responsibility. 

The facility continues to support high-volume distribution with a focus on consistency, accuracy and efficient delivery execution. Its scale, structured processes and ongoing operational improvements enable it to meet customer demand while maintaining reliability across one of the region’s most active markets. Cheers to the last three decades and here’s to a bright future.
